Overview

Supplier records bring documents, contracts, compliance, sourcing activity and savings together, with status and risk indicators in view. That connection can help a small team follow supplier work across processes rather than treating each record as a separate file. The platform also supports 18 languages, with each user choosing their own, and offers optional free onboarding and training alongside a help-centre knowledge base.

Key features

Suppliers and sourcing

Supplier workflows include onboarding, qualification, document-expiry alerts, performance scorecards and a supplier portal. Sourcing handles RFPs, RFQs and RFIs, with assigned reviewers and weighted supplier scoring. Reusable and custom RFX templates, questionnaires and weighted scoring are part of Sourcing Plus, so teams running structured evaluations should account for the extra subscription.

Contracts and savings

The searchable contract repository tracks key dates and notice periods, with alerts, approvals and audit history. Contract Plus adds linked contract documentation, custom notifications, approvals, custom fields and tabs. Savings tracking follows initiatives through owners, milestones and forecasts to validation and realisation; Savings Plus adds unlimited milestones, document attachments, approvals and custom fields and tabs.

Connections and API

Zapier connects oboloo to more than 8,000 apps, including Salesforce, Xero, QuickBooks, Slack, Teams and ChatGPT. Its API supports read and write access to supplier, contract, sourcing and savings data, plus real-time event notifications. API keys are scoped to organisation permissions; role-based access controls and two-factor authentication are also documented.

Pricing

Oboloo uses a freemium model. Free Forever includes all four core modules, unlimited users and no card or expiry, and is billed per user, per month; its price is custom pricing. The 14-day trial covers advanced features, then automatically continues on Free Forever. That gives teams a way to assess paid capabilities without an expiring account, but the ongoing free plan may not cover every workflow they need.

Four monthly add-ons target specific gaps, each including the free plan:

Contract Plus: 10.00 USD per month for linked contract documentation, custom notifications, approvals, custom fields and tabs. It suits teams that need more controlled contract workflows.
Savings Plus: 20.00 USD per month for unlimited milestones, document attachments, approvals, custom fields and tabs. It is the fit for teams needing more room to document and govern savings initiatives.
Sourcing Plus: 25.00 USD per month for reusable and custom RFX templates, questionnaires, weighted scoring and custom fields. It is the relevant upgrade for teams formalising supplier evaluations.
Supplier Plus: 28.00 USD per month for supplier compliance, onboarding, documentation requests, custom fields and tabs. It targets teams that need more structured supplier administration.

All four prices are billed per month. The plans are modular rather than one bundle, which lets a team pay for a particular workflow but can make the total rise if it needs several upgrades.

Platforms

Oboloo supports web and API access. The API provides a route for integrating operational data and receiving real-time events; the listed platforms do not include mobile or desktop apps.

Who it's for

Oboloo is best suited to SMEs, charities and lean teams that need supplier, sourcing, contract and savings work connected, and can start with its free tier or add only the modules they need. Teams seeking a single all-inclusive paid package, or a mobile app, should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pro: Supplier records connect compliance, contracts, sourcing and savings, giving lean teams a shared view of related work.
Pro: The free plan covers all four core modules for unlimited users, with no card or expiry.
Pro: Zapier reach and a read/write API with event notifications support connections to other business systems.
Con: Advanced features are split among four separate add-ons, so teams needing multiple upgrades must combine monthly prices.
Con: The stated platform coverage is web and API, not mobile or desktop applications.

Alternatives

Supplier Management Software is a broader category starting point for comparing tools. Choose Epicor Kinetic if Android, iOS, Windows or self-hosted deployment matters, with its platform core and cloud package approach. Tradogram is a paid option with Android and iOS apps; its Essentials plan is 99.00 USD per month for 1+ users, with additional user fees, while Premium has custom pricing for 20+ users.

Zoho Procurement may suit teams seeking a paid procurement tool with mobile apps; its Premium plan is 35.00 USD per year, billed per user/month annually, with 50 requester licenses per purchased user license and basic approval workflows and audit trails. Esker Accounts Payable Automation is an alternative focused on accounts payable automation, with custom pricing. Market Dojo is another freemium web-and-API option; its Simple Sourcing annual licence is 500.00 GBP per year for sourcing and eAuction features.

Procol Vendor Management System is a paid option spanning source-to-pay, vendor onboarding, portals and contract repositories, with custom pricing. Qeluntra offers a web-based freemium alternative, with a free plan limited to one entity and one power user. SAFAL Strategic Sourcing is another web-based alternative.

Verdict

Choose oboloo if your SME, charity or lean team wants supplier management, sourcing, contracts and savings in one connected platform, and values an unlimited-user free starting point. Its modular add-ons are a practical way to buy only the capabilities required. Look elsewhere if you need mobile or desktop apps, or if several separately priced upgrades would make a bundled alternative a better fit.
