In their own words
OneDirectory
OneDirectory is a web service that builds employee directories, searchable profiles, and interactive organizational charts from Microsoft Entra ID data. A one-way Microsoft 365 sync keeps profiles current. Employees can search people, roles, teams, skills, and offices, while profiles can include skills, contact details, reporting lines, assistant relationships, and dotted-line reporting. The org chart supports searchable and zoomable views, customizable layouts, and downloadable views. Profiles can start chats and calls through Microsoft Teams, Slack, Webex, or other supported messaging platforms. Authentication uses Microsoft’s identity platform with read-only, least-privilege access to Microsoft 365 profile data. OneDirectory runs on Microsoft Azure, stores data in the United States by default, and offers EU and Australia residency regions. Data is encrypted with 256-bit AES at rest and TLS 1.2 or higher in transit. Pro starts at $349 a month for up to 250 profiles, with a 14-day full-access trial.
OrgNice
OrgNice turns a Google Sheet into a live staff directory and org chart, reading the sheet when someone views them. The web directory supports search by any field, card or table layouts, and profiles in a side panel or on separate pages. Org charts can be coloured by department or location, while data validation flags gaps and loops in reporting lines and repairs common ones. Map View uses location columns and supports up to five named views per project. Charts can be exported as PNG, SVG or PDF. OrgNice connects to Google Sheets and can be embedded in Google Sites, Confluence or WordPress; profile links can unfurl with a name and photo in Slack or email. Google OAuth 2.0 grants read-only access to the connected sheet. OrgNice says it does not store sheet contents, while account and project configuration data are stored on Google Cloud Platform in the United States. A free plan and seven-day trial are listed; paid plans start at $20/mo with annual billing.
