Rev
Rev is a communication management platform for collecting and working with spoken and written material. It offers AI and human transcription, AI and human English and Spanish captions, and human-generated subtitles in multiple languages. Users can record through its mobile app or account-based computer recorder, create shareable clips, and use Meeting Hub and AI Notetaker with calendar integration. Workspaces, folders, multifile insights, AI Prompts, AI Chat, and Rev Agent with source citations support analysis across audio, video, documents, and images. The free plan is for one user, limited to English, and includes 45 AI transcription and caption minutes per month with up to five files at once. Essentials is $29.99 a month and Pro is $59.99 a month. Human transcription costs $1.99 per minute; Legal Premium Transcript costs $2.50 per page. Rev lists apps for iOS and Android and integrations with video platforms, meeting services, calendars, and Dropbox.
SoniClear Transcriber 10
SoniClear Transcriber 10 uses cloud AI to turn recordings into meeting minutes and legal transcripts, including verbatim transcripts for court reporting. It runs on Windows 11 and imports MP3, WAV, MP4, M4A, and WMV files. Recording sources include handheld recorders, other recording systems, Zoom, Teams, and the web. During review, users can click transcript text to play the matching audio locally, then export transcripts and notes to Microsoft Word. Cloud transcription requires an internet connection and uploads recordings to SoniClear's server for processing. SoniClear says recordings and transcripts are removed from the server after processing and employees cannot access them. The company also says the service is not designed for HIPAA-covered medical processing or high-security applications such as government security agencies. The free Player plan supports manual playback and transcription but includes no cloud transcription time. Pro costs $360 a year and includes 40 hours of cloud transcription; extra time can be purchased. Unused transcription time expires when a subscription or support service ends, but can roll over upon renewal.
