RosterLab

RosterLab generates and optimises staff rosters for complex teams, including healthcare and 24/7 operations. Its AI accounts for staffing requirements, employee preferences, fatigue, union rules, skill coverage and fairness. Managers can re-roster part of a schedule while leaving the rest unchanged. Employees can use the mobile app to view shifts, submit leave requests and preferences, claim open shifts, and request swaps; they can also sync schedules with Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar and more. The free Digital Rostering plan supports manual scheduling, simple rule checks, dynamic statistics, shift colour coding and the employee app. AI Optimised Rostering is listed at $20 a month, billed per person per month; the pricing note says paid plans start at $15/user/mo. Enterprise pricing is custom, with SSO, API access, integrations, customised rules and priority support listed. RosterLab says AI pricing counts staff included in the roster, not administrators or managers outside it. The pricing FAQ recommends contacting the company for teams with at least 30 people.

Wardflow

Wardflow is a staff scheduling system for hospitals and clinics. It creates rosters, coordinates workforce coverage, and manages leave, day-off, and shift-swap requests for doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, lab scientists, and administrators. Its scheduling pipeline applies leave blocks, minimum rest periods, and shift-transition rules before assignments, then evaluates workload fairness over a rolling 28-day window using night shifts, total hours, and weekends. Requests receive real-time approvals, with submissions, decisions, swaps, and overrides recorded with timestamps and actors. Staff can record attendance through an installable mobile PWA, while administrators use a web workspace with separate role views. Rosters download as PDF or Excel files by department, date range, or profession. Wardflow offers Android, iOS, and web access, but no native mobile apps. It is paid software with no free plan; pricing is on request and a free trial is available.
