In their own words
Smartwaiver
Smartwaiver lets organizations create, collect, and manage digital waivers with electronic signatures. Its editor supports branded templates using logos, colors, and fonts, and the pricing page lists unlimited waiver templates. Customers can sign by email, SMS, app, website, or QR code, and collection can also happen offline. The Waiver Console searches signed records by last name, birthday, or custom tag; WaiverSync sends copies to a local hard drive. Reservation integrations include Mindbody, Xola, and FareHarbor, while email integrations include Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and Emma. Developers can use its open API to build integrations. Stored and transmitted data is encrypted with AES 256-bit encryption, and the company says it is SOC 2 Type II compliant. Each signed waiver receives a unique document ID and a Certificate of Authenticity intended to verify that the record has not changed after signing. Free kiosk apps for iOS and Android support offline collection, automatic photo capture, and driver’s license scanning. The 15-day trial requires no credit card and allows up to 50 signed waivers; paid access starts at $19/mo.
Survtapp
Survtapp collects waivers, surveys, checklists, and event leads on iOS and Android, including when devices are offline. Responses, signatures, and photos are queued locally and sync when connectivity returns. Its form builder offers 22 question types, templates, signatures, photos, voice notes, and conditional logic. Kiosk mode can lock an iPad or Android tablet to one form. Survey responses can be exported as CSV, XLSX, JSON, or PDF. Native integrations are listed for SendGrid, Mailchimp, GoHighLevel, HubSpot, and Constant Contact; webhooks use HMAC-SHA256 signatures, and REST API keys are available on paid plans. The maker says database and file storage are hosted in AWS Canada’s Montréal region and that the service aligns with PIPEDA and GDPR. The free plan costs nothing forever and includes 3 users, 100 responses per month, 5 MB storage, 2 kiosk devices, 3 forms, and 120-day retention. Paid plans start with Solo at $19 a month; higher plans add capacity, retention, integrations, or support.
