In their own words
Stairkey
Stairkey is a workspace that brings CRM, scheduling, estimates, invoicing, portals, email, websites, storage, accounting, and administration together. An approved quote can become a job with tasks, a schedule, a crew, and a materials list. Contractors can use the Takeoff Builder to calculate quantities from room dimensions, openings, finishes, and formulas. Realty tools cover property records, listing history, showings, open-house sign-in, listing presentations, condition templates, and deal context. Optional double-entry accounting supports invoices, expenses, reconciliation, and reporting. Its assistant can draft quotes, tasks, expense entries, and messages; it does not save or send the content until the user approves it. AI starts disabled and is charged per use, with receipt reading given as a 15¢ example. Stairkey works on Android, iOS, and the web. The first month is free with all features unlocked and no card required. The owner seat starts at $20 CAD per month, and a member seat starts at $10 CAD per month; both include monthly usage and have stated caps.
Workhand
Workhand is a mobile-first field operations app for construction contractors, available on Android, iOS, and the web. It brings together jobs, estimates, invoices, crew messaging, costs, time, and payments. Contractors can create estimates for e-signature, send Stripe invoices, chat by job, track time and mileage, track subcontractor insurance certificates, and use daily logs, punch lists, and an AI receipt scanner. The Free plan costs nothing and allows one active job, one teammate, three estimates, and three invoices per month. Pro costs $34.99 a month and supports unlimited active jobs and up to five teammates. Team costs $89.99 a month and supports up to 15 teammates, with QuickBooks Online sync; QuickBooks Desktop is not supported. Some previously loaded records can be viewed offline, while chat, photo uploads, and new estimates can queue locally. Creating a new job fully offline is not supported. The app and customer estimates and invoices support English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. In the US, Stripe card payments cost 2.9% plus $0.30, with no added Workhand payment markup.
