In their own words
Tutorbase
Tutorbase is cloud-based software for tutoring businesses and educational organizations. It combines scheduling, lesson management, billing, invoicing, payment tracking, CRM, lead capture, reporting, payroll and multi-location support. Its calendar includes recurring and group lessons, trial lessons, room management, teacher availability and attendance tracking. Billing tools cover automated invoices, packages, prepaid or postpaid billing, flexible pricing, cancellation fees and multiple payment methods. Students can self-book; the service also supports online payments and two-way calendar sync, with WhatsApp and Google Calendar Sync listed as integrations. The Free Core plan has no monthly subscription and includes all features without feature restrictions; invoicing through the system incurs a 1% fee. Payment processing charges for cards and bank transfers come from the payment provider, not Tutorbase. Tutorbase is available on Android, iOS and the web. The company says onboarding includes three weeks of support, data migration, individual calls, staff training and same-day responses. It also describes HTTPS connections using TLS 1.2 or higher, encryption at rest for its primary database, and role-based access controls.
TutorHQ
TutorHQ is a free, offline-first tuition and coaching management app for private tutors, coaching centers, and home educators on Android and iOS. It calculates fees and prorated charges using anniversary-date or calendar-month billing, then creates ISO A4 PDF invoices with dynamic UPI QR codes. Parents can pay those invoices through Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, or BHIM. QR attendance applies a three-second duplicate-scan debounce and marks students late when scanned more than 15 minutes after batch start. Other tools cover batch capacity, sibling fee linking, student ID cards, student exits, and alumni. TutorHQ lists UPI payments, WhatsApp payment links, USB HID barcode scanners, and fingerprint-scanner discovery for Mantra, Morpho, and SecuGen. The maker says there is no tracking, analytics SDK, or cloud telemetry, and data remains on the device. Scheduled encrypted backups, JSON export, and cross-platform restore are available. The free plan has no student or batch limits, no monthly charges, and no in-app ads. Android requires version 8.0 or later.
