NameChanger

What it is
NameChanger is a free macOS application for renaming groups of files while previewing the resulting names as you type. Files can be added through its interface or by dragging them into the app, and it can recursively add files from a directory structure. Rename methods include text replacement, wildcards, prefixes, suffixes, dates, sequences, character removal, regular expressions, metadata-based naming, and case changes. Controls can hide extensions, ignore case, and force unique resulting names. The app keeps a history of renames automatically. Its Image Browser supports visual naming and picture reordering. In Finder, selected files can be sent through Services > Rename with NameChanger. Version 3.4.4 is listed as a Universal Build for OS X 10.13 and later, with older releases for earlier systems. The Free plan is free.
