What it is

TapVoter is a web service for online elections, polls, quizzes, and multi-question surveys. Elections can use Direct, Ranked Choice (IRV), STAR, Approval, or Multi-Winner voting. The free Elections plan allows unlimited elections for up to 10,000 voters and includes real-time results, CSV import and export, daily voting windows, and an audit center. Each election has a public transparency log of lifecycle events and a receipt code for every ballot. Voter keys are single-use, expire when an election ends, and are stored as HMAC SHA-256 hashes. Votes are stored anonymously apart from voter identities, so administrators can see participation but not individual choices. The interface supports 30 languages, custom labels, and right-to-left languages including Arabic and Hebrew. Bulk voter import accepts up to 500 voters at once.
