What it is
Money & Life is a free web program supporting financial well-being through self-guided exercises, workshops, and mentoring. It is open to everyone in the United States, whether or not they are Capital One customers. Virtual exercises take about 5–10 minutes and help participants break financial goals into smaller steps while considering spending trade-offs. On-demand workshop videos are also 5–10 minutes. Participants can book up to three free mentoring sessions, each approximately one hour, either virtually or at Capital One Cafés. Capital One-certified mentors help clarify goals and build a plan. Exercises and workshops work on smartphones, tablets, and desktops. Mentors do not use spreadsheets, account details, or other financial information during sessions, and they do not raise Capital One products or services. Mentors are not financial advisors, tax experts, or accountants, and the program is not financial advising. Participants must be at least 18 to book mentoring.
